By DONNA BALANCIA
Plague Vendor is releasing and touring a new album, By Night, and bringing their wild and nu-era punk on the road. This is a beloved local band that needs to be seen and heard to be believed. Plague Vendor is Blaine (vocals), Michael Perez (bass), Luke Perine (drums and percussion) and Jay Rogers (guitar). Blaine puts his heart and soul — and frantic onstage acrobatics — into every show. There are times his pants ripped and he kept on going. The shows are the best, as Blaine contorts himself to a degree that reminds audience members of Iggy Pop, only this guy’s tall and lanky. |
The band has a devoted and loving local following in Southern California and packs the house at The Echo and Echoplex whenever they play there.
Plague Vendor played at Ohana Fest and got a special introduction by Eddie Vedder, who surprised the festival goers with a mid-day appearance on stage. He mentioned the upstarts right off the bat. |

The band is on the road taking their live show to venues around the country–supporting All Them Witches now, and headlining others in the spring.
